From Freeway Riots to Foreign Missiles: The Urgent Need for Constitutional Clarity in a Nation Under Siege

In recent days, America has seen events unfold that would leave our Founders speechless—and likely horrified. Highway blockades in Los Angeles, violent mobs attacking federal agents, and foreign flags waving above burning American ones—all while Iran accelerates its nuclear ambitions with direct Chinese support. These are not isolated incidents. They are symptoms of a constitutional crisis that runs far deeper than media spin and partisan politics.

Let’s call this what it is: a coordinated destabilization of the American order, both from within and from abroad. And in the vacuum of truth created by our legacy media and activist politicians, it is up to “We the People” to re-anchor this country in the rule of law, beginning with education rooted in our founding documents—chiefly, the Constitution of the United States.

The Lie of “Peaceful Protest”

The Left-leaning media would have us believe that highway takeovers and ICE agent ambushes are mere expressions of frustration—“peaceful protests,” they call them. But when projectiles are thrown, law enforcement is injured, federal operations are halted, and the Stars and Stripes are torched beneath the banner of foreign nations, this is not protest. It is insurrection.

Let’s be clear: these actions violate the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution (Article VI, Clause 2), which establishes that federal law takes precedence over state law. When California officials refuse to cooperate with federal agents and obstruct lawful operations by ICE, they are not “protecting their communities”—they are defying the Constitution.

The Founders never intended for cities and states to act as rogue fiefdoms against the federal union. Yet here we are, with mayors and governors giving sanctuary to criminals, standing down local police in the face of federal chaos, and even condemning the deployment of National Guard units as "provocation."

Iran, China, and the Axis of Internal Collapse

While domestic chaos rages, Iran’s Supreme Leader stood on stage last week and openly mocked the United States. On June 5, he declared that “America can’t do a damn thing,” while confirming Iran’s right to enrich uranium—likely already weapons-grade. The very next day, U.S. and Israeli intelligence confirmed the arrival of ammonium perchlorate from China—enough to produce 800 ballistic missiles.

This isn’t a speculative threat. It is active war preparation. And it’s no coincidence that it comes on the heels of President Trump’s collapsed negotiations and renewed sanctions. The world sees an America distracted and divided—and our enemies are acting accordingly.

Russia, China, Iran—they are not merely coordinating abroad. Their influence is seeping into our domestic affairs. DHS whistleblowers have warned that some of the activist groups involved in the anti-ICE demonstrations are receiving crypto donations and foreign-supplied narratives designed to incite unrest.

The Founders Warned Us

The Constitution is not a relic. It is our defense against this very moment.

  • Article I, Section 8 grants Congress the power to “repel invasions.” That includes not just military invasions but coordinated subversion through criminal and ideological warfare.

  • The First Amendment protects free speech and peaceful assembly—not violent insurrection masked as protest.

  • The Guarantee Clause (Article IV, Section 4) promises every state in this Union a Republican Form of Government and protection against domestic violence.

So where is that guarantee now, when federal agents are assaulted and entire neighborhoods are overtaken by transnational gangs operating with impunity?

A Wake-Up Call: Transnational Crime in Your Backyard

In a stunning federal raid last week, Homeland Security dismantled an Armenian crime syndicate operating out of luxury homes in Los Angeles and Florida. These weren’t “desperate migrants”—they were violent criminals engaged in a web of kidnapping, cargo theft, and bank fraud totaling over $83 million. Some were here on fraudulent visas. Others were abusing asylum claims.

This was not an outlier. Similar rings have been identified from Colombia to Romania to Iran—all exploiting our broken border policies and overwhelmed legal system. In fact, cargo theft alone surged over 27% last year, and SNAP fraud has siphoned off over $17 million meant for needy Americans.

This is what happens when we ignore the wisdom of our founders: open borders, selective enforcement, and a media too afraid—or too complicit—to speak the truth.

President Trump: Holding the Line

As America teeters, President Trump stands at a historic crossroads. He’s holding back Israeli strikes for now, pursuing diplomacy where possible, but preparing to shift to wartime footing if these converging threats persist.

Some call this posture provocative. But in truth, it is restraint grounded in responsibility. Because Trump understands the weight of his decisions—and he understands the Constitution. Unlike today’s Democrat leaders, he believes that America is worth defending, our laws are worth enforcing, and that sovereignty still matters.

What Must Be Done

  1. Civic Education – Every American must know what the Constitution says and why it matters. That starts in middle school, which is exactly why the 917 Society exists: to put a copy of the Constitution in every 8th grader’s hands. It’s not just symbolic. It’s strategic.

  2. Media Accountability – Demand better. The press must be held to account for whitewashing criminal violence and gaslighting Americans about the reality on the ground.

  3. Border Integrity – No nation can survive without it. We must secure the border and end the abuse of our asylum and visa systems.

  4. Law & Order – Federal agents should not have to fear being left to fend for themselves. The federal government must enforce the law in every corner of this Republic—even if local leaders won’t.

The Hour is Late—But Not Too Late

America is in a moment of profound testing. But we’ve been here before—when British troops occupied our streets, when the Civil War threatened to tear us apart, when enemies abroad sought to break us during the Cold War. What saw us through then was a shared belief in this experiment in liberty. A belief forged by faith, family, and the rule of law.

We must return to that foundation. Because without a Constitution that is known, honored, and defended—we are not a nation. We are just a collection of angry tribes.

So now is the time to teach. To speak. To act.

For liberty. For order. For America.
