Constitution Day Celebration 2026

Constitution Day, celebrated on September 17, marks the anniversary of the signing of the United States Constitution in 1787. This important day serves to recognize the foundational document that outlines the framework of the U.S. government and the rights of its citizens. It is a time to reflect on the principles of democracy, liberty, and justice that the Constitution embodies. Celebrating Constitution Day encourages civic engagement and awareness of the rights and responsibilities that come with being a citizen.
The 917 Society joyfully commemorates Constitution Day with our committed donors, volunteers, and advocates. Together, we strive to provide Pocket Constitutions to 8th grade students throughout the United States, helping them gain a richer understanding of our nation's foundational principles. This is our day of celebration!
