The 917 Society is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization of volunteers who are dedicated to educating our young people on the rights given to them by the U.S. Constitution.

As a non-profit with tax-exempt status, we do not align with, endorse, or support any political candidate, organization, party, or platform. We support our Constitution and the democratic process and encourage civic engagement.

We, the people of the 917 Society, realize how vital it is to help our young people understand their rights and responsibilities under the Constitution.
We believe that by educating our youth leads to fostering a love for our country and the ability to engage in effective civil discourse.

Our mission is to provide a lasting, durable copy of the Constitution for every 8th grader in the United States in an effort to prepare our young people to be responsible citizens with a knowledge and understanding of their privilege and rights as American Citizens.

We provide programs, lesson plans, quizzes etc. to their teachers to help them plan their Constitution Day celebration (on or about 9/17) and offer contests and other lasting activities to further engage each student.
