When the foundations of a nation are shaken, its people must return to what made it great. That is the soul of the message we shared in March—a letter addressed to President Trump calling for a national rededication to God on April 30, 2026, just as George Washington did in 1789. Today, that vision takes a major step forward.
President Trump has officially launched the “America Prays” initiative at the Museum of the Bible—a historic and faith-driven effort urging Americans to pray for their nation as we approach its 250th birthday.
This is no coincidence. This is providence.
When we at the 917 Society called upon the former President to kneel where Washington knelt—to lead America in a national act of humility, prayer, and rededication—we were appealing to a moment deeper than politics. We were invoking the very soul of our Republic, and the covenant that binds us to our Creator.
Now, we are seeing the first fruits of that call.
One Nation Under God
Over 230 years ago, George Washington knelt at St. Paul’s Chapel to consecrate this new nation to Almighty God. That act was not symbolic—it was spiritual warfare.
