The 917 Society offers the 250th Anniversary Edition pocket Constitution, titled "Celebrating the Constitution and U.S. Citizenship", at no cost for distribution to eligible 8th-grade classrooms nationwide. Individuals seeking pocket Constitutions for other organizations can acquire them for a small donation to support our Mission. Three Simple Steps
For School Requests . . .
Fill out the Request Form
Please provide your name, the school for which you need Constitutions, the grade level (7 or 8), the number of students, and any other relevant information requested.
We Process Your Request
Orders are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. We check to see if there is a volunteer who has requested to deliver to your school. We'll confirm your request by email.
Your Constitutions Are Shipped
If there is no volunteer for your school, the Constitutions arrive to you at your requested delivery address, ready to be distributed to the school for Constitution Week.

Fill out the Request Form
Kindly fill out the Request Form in its entirety, then click the Order and Donate button. Specify your donation amount, and your request will be documented once the payment is completed.
We Process Your Request
Your order will be processed promptly, and a confirmation will be sent to you via email.
Your Constitutions Are Shipped
Your Constitutions will be packaged and shipped to you at your requested delivery address.

Constitution Day 2026 falls during America's 250th anniversary year. Demand for the 250th Anniversary Edition is higher than any previous year. Supplies are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you're a teacher, federal law requires that you plan a Constitution Day Unit for your classroom so you need to request your copies now.

Common Questions
Who Qualifies?
We serve both individual requests and those for 8th grade students. Any 8th-grade classroom at a U.S. school qualifies for free pocket Constitutions; we serve public, private, and charter schools across all 50 states. Individuals may request pocket Constitutions for a donation to our Mission.
When Will My Order Arrive?
Processing and shipping times vary. Order as early as possible, especially if you need copies by September 17.
How Many Can I Request?
You can request copies for an entire class. Simply enter the student count in the form for Constitutions for Students. You can request as many copies as you require and a break-even donation suggestion can be found on the form you will complete to make your request.
Can I order for multiple classes or grade levels?
We request that the person, teacher, or principal fill out our form for themselves so there is less chance of mistake and to make sure the Constitutions are used. We ship all over the United States.
Is There a Cost?
The 917 Society is funded by donors who believe every student should have a copy of the Constitution. There is no charge to teachers, schools or volunteers who deliver to the schools. Individual may obtain copies by a break-even donation suggestion on the Other Requests Order form.
