Jennifer Hannigan, representing Moms for America South Carolina, distributed 4,500 Anniversary Pocket Constitutions on September 9, 2026.

Jennifer wanted to share this:

"Thank you to Wendy Hodges for connecting me with the right people to make this possible. On behalf of Moms for America, Moms For America South Carolina and The 917 Society - Non-Profit, I’m honored to help provide 4,500 pocket-sized U.S. Constitutions to students across Horry County Schools. Through coordination with HCS Superintendent Clifford Jones and Candace Lane, every 8th-grade student in Horry County, regardless of which school they attend, will receive a copy of the Constitution in recognition of Constitution Day on September 17.Our young people should know the document that protects their rights, defines the limits of government, and forms the foundation of our republic. Putting a Constitution directly into their hands is a simple but meaningful way to encourage civic knowledge and responsibility. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who helped coordinate this effort and make sure these are distributed. Constitution Day, observed each year on September 17, commemorates the signing of the U.S. Constitution in 1787 and encourages Americans to learn about the rights and responsibilities it established. And a side thank you to my kids, the youngest for separating, counting and recounting to make sure all schools were supplied. I look forward to reaching out to more schools across our state. The middle daughter for lifting boxes and helping bring them to District Office. #ShenanigansWithHannigan#917ConstitutionDay"
