Senator Jackson’s employment and education include Tennant Company (Retired) as a Small Business Owner.  He attended Lambuth University, Memphis State University School of Business, and Ohio State University.  He is proud of his service with the Tennessee National Guard, 30th Armored Brigade and his service in the Tennessee General Assembly where he serves on the following Senate Committees:  Chairman, Calendar Committee; Chairman, State & Local Corrections Sub-Committee; 1st Vice-Chair, Senate Government Operations Committee; Member, Senate Health and Welfare Committee; Member, Senate State & Local Committee; Member, Joint Government Operations Commerce, Labor, Transportation and Agriculture Subcommittee; and is a Member, Joint Government Operations Education, Health and General Welfare Subcommittee.

Senator Jackson’s Community Involvement includes Senate member of the 109th, 110th and 111th General Assembly; V.P. of Marketing for West TN Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America; Jackson YMCA Board Member (Former); 30th Armored Brigade Association, Tennessee National Guard; Jackson Rotary Club; Jackson Chamber of Commerce; Crockett County Chamber of Commerce; and the Dyer County Chamber of Commerce.

He is a member of National Rifle Association, TN Firearms Association, Fraternal Order of Police, National Federation of Independent Business, and Kappa Sigma Fraternity Alumni.

Senator Jackson’s Honors and Awards include Eagle Scout and Business of the Year by Jackson Chamber of Commerce 2012.

Ed and Marilyn Jackson have three children and are members of the Church of Christ.
