The 917 Society welcomes to the Founders Club, Jason Knight. Jason grew up in Brooklyn New York where he witnessed the unfortunate events first hand when our Nation was attacked on September 11th 2001. Jason Knight enlisted in the Army in 2004 not shortly after 9/11 with the decision to serve and defend his country. He was stationed to Fort Campbell KY and assigned to the 101st Airborne Division where he deployed twice to Iraq and once to Afghanistan. Jason Knight served 4 years as an Enlisted Soldier before attending Austin Peay State University Graduating from the ROTC program and obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree and commissioning as an Officer in the United States Army. He served as an officer with the 2nd Brigade Combat Team alongside great soldiers as they deployed to Afghanistan. He later joined the Army Reserves and had the opportunity to Command two companies. Where he was later promoted to Major.

Jason Knight served on both the Clarksville City Council and the Montgomery County Commission simultaneously. Jason Knight served as the County Commissioner for Montgomery County’s 18th district. He served on the Library Board of trustees, the EMS committee, Jail and Juvenile committee and Animal care and control committee, the Tennessee County Services Administration (TCSA) Education Committee, he also served on the County Investment committee.

Jason Knight also served as the Ward 5 City Council member where he was placed on the Finance Committee, Legislative liaison Committee, the Housing and Community development committee.

He completed his MBA in 2012 from Grantham University; and began the Dissertation process for his PhD in information systems management. Jason Knight is devoted to the community he serves.

He is a devoted husband and father of 7 children
