The 917 Society, Founders Club President Dr. Ming Wang and Vice President Lee Beaman are excited to welcome Representative Chris Hurt, as a Founders Club Member.

Representative Chris Hurt is from Halls, Tennessee and has represented the 82nd District of the Tennessee House of Representatives since 2018.

A graduate of Lambuth University, he taught at Halls High School and coached multiple sports before leaving teaching to spend more time with his family and open his own business as a real estate broker.
Representative Hurt currently serves on the Tennessee House Agricultural and Natural Resources committee, the Transportation committee, the K-12 subcommittee, and also sits as the Vice-Chair of the House Education Administration Committee.

Representative Hurt is married to Dawn Hurt, and they have five children. He attends First Baptist Church in Halls.
